India had been set to host the tournament next year, but the council’s decision comes after India did not allow Pakistan’s team to participate in the Blind T20 Men’s World Cup held in Pakistan. The council also confirmed that India will not be allowed to host any international blind cricket events until political tensions between the countries ease.
In other developments, Syed Sultan Shah of Pakistan has been retained as the chairman of the World Blind Cricket Council.
