Kamran Ghulam Scores Century on Test Debut

Kamran Ghulam made a memorable entrance into Test cricket by scoring a century on debut against England in the second Test in Multan. With this achievement, he becomes the 13th Pakistani batter to reach a century on his Test debut, cementing his place among some of the country’s cricketing greats.

The list of Pakistani players who have achieved this feat includes Khalid Ibadulla, who was the first to score 166 runs on debut against Australia, and legends like Javed Miandad, Saleem Malik, and Younus Khan. Ghulam’s century came at a crucial moment, stabilizing Pakistan’s innings after early losses.

Pakistan’s innings initially stumbled with two quick wickets in the first hour. However, Ghulam, alongside Saim Ayub, built a vital 150+ run partnership that shifted the momentum in Pakistan’s favor. Ayub narrowly missed his century, departing for 77, while Saud Shakeel added just four runs before being dismissed.

Ghulam’s contribution is a promising start to his Test career, providing a much-needed boost to the team and adding depth to Pakistan’s batting lineup.
