PCB to Conduct Fitness Tests for Four Players Ahead of Second Test Against England

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has scheduled fitness tests for four national team players ahead of the second Test against England, which is set to begin in Multan on October 15. Sources have confirmed that Kamran Ghulam, Zahid Mahmood, Imam-ul-Haq, and Nauman Ali have been called to Multan for these evaluations, which are expected to take place today.

Both Nauman and Zahid were released from the squad before the first Test due to their inability to meet fitness standards. The PCB is taking these tests seriously to ensure player readiness for the upcoming match.In addition, spinner Abrar Ahmed has been ruled out of the second Test and is currently receiving medical treatment in a hospital.

England won the first Test by an innings and 47 runs, with Pakistan being bowled out for 220 after starting at 152/6. Salman Ali Agha top-scored for Pakistan with 63, while Jack Leach took 4 wickets for England. Pakistan’s Aamir Jamal remained unbeaten with 55.

The second Test will be critical for Pakistan, as they look to level the series after trailing 1-0 following their defeat in the opening match.
