Former Australian cricketer Matthew Hayden expressed his thoughts on the strengths of both teams before of the World Test Championship final between Australia and India.
When asked about Australia’s potential edge against India, Hayden emphasised the significance of scoring runs, praising the batting prowess of Steve Smith, Virat Kohli, and Babar Azam, whom he considers modern-day greats.
Hayden praised these three batsmen, describing them as “exceptional talents in the game of cricket.” He referred to them as “once in a lifetime and once in a generation cricketers,” implying that their abilities and accomplishments distinguished them from their contemporaries.
Hayden also emphasised the importance of Marnus Labuschagne and Pat Cummins to Australia’s lineup. The development of Labuschagne as a solid batsman, as well as Cummins’ dual role as captain and a formidable fast bowler, strengthen the Australian team.
