Social media platform X has suspended a newly launched Hebrew-language account associated with Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, just one day after its activation. The account, using the handle @Khamenei_Heb, was taken down for “violating X’s rules” after it posted a message warning Israel over recent military activities, stating that Israel was “making a miscalculation with respect to Iran.”

X’s guidelines prohibit content from “violent and hateful entities,” though exceptions often apply to state entities. However, the platform proceeded with the suspension, and neither Khamenei’s office nor X representatives have issued a public response yet.
The suspension comes amid growing tensions following Israel’s airstrikes targeting Iran after a ballistic missile incident in early October. Despite restricted internet access within Iran, Khamenei’s office manages several X accounts in various languages. Earlier this year, Meta also removed Khamenei’s accounts on Facebook and Instagram over posts related to Hamas.
