Meta Platform is reportedly testing cross-platform posting capabilities, enabling Facebook users to simultaneously share content on Threads, a feature available for Instagram. This move aims to streamline the posting process and encourage Facebook users to explore Threads.
While the company has confirmed the testing of this feature, it’s currently limited to iOS applications and excludes the EU. Users will be able to share both text and link posts from Facebook to Threads, enhancing content creation convenience.

The integration was discovered by Threads user @whimchic (Ljiljana Grujicic), who tested the feature on her profile. Notably, the shared post did not display any account information from Facebook or indicate that it was cross-posted.
Previously, Threads users expressed frustration when their posts were automatically shared on Facebook and Instagram without consent. In response, Meta introduced an option to control cross-share posts, giving users more control over their content dissemination.
