Apple Set to Launch iPhone 17 Air as Its Slimmest Smartphone in September 2025

Apple

Apple is expected to surprise tech enthusiasts with the release of the iPhone 17 Air in 2025, marking its slimmest iPhone to date. The device will feature an ultra-slim design, with a thickness ranging from 5mm to 6mm. Prioritizing minimalism, it will offer a single 48-megapixel rear camera and a 24-megapixel front camera.

One of the key features of the iPhone 17 Air will be its eSIM-only design, eliminating the physical SIM card tray. Additionally, the phone will have a sleek profile with only one speaker in the earpiece, following the removal of the bottom-edge speaker. Apple is also set to include its own 5G modem, though reports suggest that mmWave 5G support may be absent, potentially affecting data rates.

Despite the thin design, the iPhone 17 Air will still feature a 6.6-inch Dynamic Island display, an A19 chip for improved performance, and 8GB of RAM. The frames will be crafted from lightweight aluminum for portability and durability. The iPhone 17 lineup will include the basic iPhone 17 as well as premium Pro versions, which are expected to feature enhanced cameras and a partially glass rear for wireless charging.

The iPhone 17 series is set to be launched in September 2025.
