Rumors suggest that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature satellite connectivity, a sought-after capability that was absent in the Galaxy S24 series. This speculation, revealed through Android Authority’s detailed analysis of Samsung app codes, marks a significant advancement for the next generation of Galaxy smartphones.
The analysis discovered references in the Samsung phone app to satellite mode, including functionalities for sending and receiving text messages and making emergency calls to 911. It also noted that if a nearby mobile network is available, emergency calls might still be connected.

Samsung has been working on improving satellite communication features for several years. Despite earlier expectations, this functionality did not debut in the Galaxy S23 or S24.
