After an eight-year-long legal struggle, Hollywood icons Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have officially finalized their divorce.
The final paperwork, signed on December 30, concludes one of the most talked-about separations in recent history. Jolie, now 49, who initially filed for divorce in 2016, has expressed relief over the settlement. Divorce attorney James Simon told DailyMail.com that while Jolie feels “exhausted,” her focus remains on achieving peace and healing for her family.

The couple, married in 2014, endured a highly publicized and tumultuous split, largely triggered by allegations tied to an incident on a private plane involving their children. Together, they share six children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox. Despite the challenges, Jolie has avoided publicly criticizing Pitt, instead advocating for reforms in child custody laws.
Even though the divorce is finalized, the legal dispute over their French vineyard, Chateau Miraval, remains unresolved. Reports suggest both sides are considering mediation or a jury trial to settle the matter.
With the divorce behind them, Pitt, now 61, has reportedly moved on and has been dating jewelry designer Ines de Ramon for almost two years. However, the complexities of shared assets and family responsibilities highlight the challenges of high-profile separations.
