Pakistan's PTV and Turkiye's TRT Join Hands for Joint Broadcasts, Including 'Ertugrul Ghazi'

Pakistan’s Information Minister, Ataullah Tarar, and the Head of Communications at the Turkish Presidency, Prof. Fahrettin Altun, have agreed to strengthen media collaboration between the two countries.

The partnership will include joint broadcasts between PTV and Turkey’s state-run TRT, with popular Turkish dramas like Ertugrul Ghazi airing in Pakistan. The discussions focused on enhancing media ties, promoting public diplomacy, and combating Islamophobia and misinformation.

Both sides decided to establish a working group under the Ministry of Information and the Turkish Directorate of Communications to facilitate these efforts. Minister Tarar highlighted the deep-rooted brotherly relationship between Pakistan and Turkey, emphasizing the potential for greater collaboration in media and cultural exchange.

The officials also explored joint ventures in tourism and entertainment, aiming to deepen cultural understanding and historical connections among younger generations. Tarar extended an invitation to Altun to visit Pakistan to further develop new opportunities for collaboration.
