Rajender Meghwar Becomes First Hindu Officer in Pakistan's Police Service

Rajender Meghwar has made history as the first Hindu officer to join the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP), beginning his role as an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Faisalabad.

Originally from Badin, a less developed region in Sindh, Meghwar’s achievement stands out as he successfully cleared the challenging Civil Services Examination (CSS) to secure his position in the police force.

Sharing his thoughts, Rajender Meghwar expressed immense satisfaction in fulfilling his lifelong dream of serving his country. He views his role in the police as a unique opportunity to address grassroots challenges and support his community in impactful ways.

He stated, “Joining the police allows me to make a difference at the grassroots level, addressing my community’s concerns in ways that other roles cannot.”

Additionally, another remarkable CSS success story comes from Roopmati, a minority woman from Rahim Yar Khan. She aims to join the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to help promote a positive image of Pakistan on the global stage.
