US woman achieves Guinness World Record for burping

A Spotsylvania County woman, Kimberly Winter, broke the Guinness World Record for the loudest female burp, reaching an astounding 107.3 decibels in a soundproof room. This achievement surpassed the previous record of 107 decibels set by Elisa Cagnoni of Italy in 2009. Winter attributed her skill to years of experience, and she was surprised by her own loudness.

To prepare for her record-breaking attempt, she had breakfast and consumed coffee and beer. The burp was verified at a sound-recording studio, where she stood at the required distance from the microphone and achieved the feat, which had held for 14 years.
