Indian actress Shobitha Shivanna was found dead in her apartment in the Kondapur area of Hyderabad, as reported by the news agency ANI, citing police sources. Authorities suspect that she may have taken her own life.
A police official confirmed the news to ANI, stating, “Kannada actress Shobitha Shivanna was found deceased in her apartment. It is believed that she committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence in Kondapur, under the jurisdiction of PS Gachibowli. A case has been registered by the police.”

The exact details surrounding her death remain unclear, and an investigation is ongoing. Her body has been sent to Gandhi Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Actress Geeta Bharti Bhatt expressed her grief over Shobitha’s death by sharing unseen photos of them together on Instagram. She wrote, “RIP Shobitha avre. You shouldn’t have left us this way. Your smile, love for life, and your very presence will be deeply missed!”
Shivanna was well-known for her roles in popular Kannada films, including Eradondla Mooru, ATM: Attempt to Murder, and Vandana. She was also a familiar face on television, having appeared in serials like Gaalipata and Mangala Gowri.
