Netanyahu Aims for More Arab Peace Deals After ‘War Against Hamas and Hezbollah’

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed optimism on Monday about reaching peace agreements with additional Arab nations following the completion of the ongoing conflict with Hamas and Hezbollah. In a speech to parliament, Netanyahu outlined his vision for stabilizing the situation in Gaza and on Israel’s northern border once these militant groups are no longer in control.

He emphasized the importance of continuing the momentum of the historic Abraham Accords, which normalized relations between Israel and four Arab nations—the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan—under U.S. mediation in 2020. Netanyahu indicated that Israel, backed by the U.S., aims to include more countries in this process, with Saudi Arabia being a primary target. However, Saudi Arabia has made it clear that it will not recognize Israel until a Palestinian state is established.

Netanyahu noted that Arab nations are increasingly aware of the threats posed by the Iranian axis and are interested in achieving a stable and prosperous Middle East.
