Three Arrested in India After Seizing Radioactive Material

In Bihar, northeast India, police detained three men after seizing 50 grams of Californium, a highly valuable radioactive material estimated to be worth millions. The suspects, Chhote Lal Prasad from Uttar Pradesh and Chandan Gupta and Chandan Ram from Gopalganj, were found transporting the material on a bike based on a specific tip-off.

A coordinated operation led to their arrest, with the Californium intended for sale. A forensic team is now analyzing the substance, and the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) has been alerted for a thorough investigation due to its critical nature.
