RAWALPINDI – Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, presided over the 273rd Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) at GHQ, emphasizing Pakistan’s Security as a top priority.
The conference began with prayers for martyrs of the Armed Forces, law enforcement, and civilians who lost their lives protecting Pakistan against terrorism. Field Marshal Munir lauded the bravery, professionalism, and sacrifices of military personnel in intelligence-driven counter-terrorism operations. He stressed that coordinated efforts between the government, military, and citizens are crucial for stability and national progress.
Participants conducted a detailed review of internal and external security threats, reaffirming that Pakistan’s Security remains non-negotiable. The top leadership vowed to eliminate terrorists, including those supported by foreign powers, and warned that no individual or group attempting to undermine national unity would be tolerated.
The conference highlighted significant developments in Balochistan, appreciating Special Development Initiatives focused on local empowerment and community engagement. Commanders were urged to replicate similar programs nationwide under the National Action Plan to ensure lasting peace and strengthen Pakistan’s Security infrastructure.
The forum also reiterated Pakistan’s principled stance on global issues. It called for support for Kashmiri self-determination and stressed an immediate ceasefire and humanitarian access in Gaza, alongside a credible path toward Palestinian statehood.
In his concluding remarks, Field Marshal Munir instructed commanders to maintain the highest levels of operational readiness, discipline, and physical fitness. He emphasized the army’s capability to counter threats across conventional, hybrid, and asymmetric warfare scenarios, ensuring the protection of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
