RAWALPINDI – Rawalpindi Police have confirmed the Arrest of three suspects, including a woman, in connection with the alleged rape of an 11-year-old girl. The incident has raised serious concerns about child safety and abuse within residential settings.
According to police officials, the minor victim was living in the home of the woman who is now in custody. The alleged abuse came to light after a complaint was formally reported to authorities. Following the report, City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani took immediate notice of the case and ordered swift action.
A police spokesperson stated that a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered under relevant sections of the law. Senior officers are directly supervising the investigation to ensure transparency and timely progress. The Arrest was carried out shortly after initial evidence and statements were reviewed.
Authorities confirmed that the victim has undergone a complete medical examination at a government hospital. Medical reports and forensic samples are being collected to support the investigation. Police teams are also recording statements from witnesses and reviewing all available evidence linked to the suspects.
Law enforcement officials stressed that the case will be pursued strictly on merit. They assured that no leniency will be shown toward those found guilty. The police reiterated that crimes involving children demand zero tolerance and strict accountability.
Senior police officers highlighted that violence, sexual assault, and exploitation of children are completely unacceptable. They said such acts will be met with firm legal action. The latest Arrest reflects the department’s commitment to protecting vulnerable children and ensuring justice.
Child abuse remains a serious issue in Pakistan, especially among children living in poverty or unstable environments. Experts note that many cases go unreported due to fear, social pressure, and stigma. Sexual crimes against minors are often hidden, making enforcement difficult.
Although Pakistan has laws under the Pakistan Penal Code and provincial child protection acts, implementation remains a challenge. Delayed justice, lack of awareness, and institutional gaps continue to weaken child protection efforts.
Rights activists argue that stronger enforcement, public awareness, and dedicated child welfare systems are urgently needed. They stress that protecting children requires coordinated action from police, courts, and social services.
