Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz turned heads on Thursday evening at her son Junaid Safdar’s mehndi celebration. She wore a stunning Nomi Ansari outfit, instantly grabbing attention on social media.
Photos and clips from the event quickly went viral. Supporters praised Maryam Nawaz for her graceful and poised appearance at the private family gathering. Many social media users shared heartfelt messages, calling her the “Prettiest CM” and expressing admiration for her elegance.
Political activist Sidra Aslam commented on X, labeling her the “Prettiest CM,” while other users congratulated Maryam Nawaz and Junaid Safdar on the joyous occasion. Her presence added a special touch to the intimate celebration.
The mehndi ceremony took place at the Sharif family’s Jati Umrah residence in Lahore. Junaid Safdar shared a touching photograph capturing the moment Maryam Nawaz placed his bride Shanzeh Ali Rohale’s hand into his, a quiet but symbolic highlight of the evening. Safdar captioned the image, “Once in a while the dream comes true… once in a while, the moon turns blue.”
For the green-themed event, Junaid wore a custom navy blue cotton shalwar kameez with a matching waistcoat by HSY. Gold buttons and a brown shawl added elegance to his look. Shanzeh opted for a Sabyasachi heritage emerald green lehenga, intricately designed with muted purples, greens, and maroons. Her tea-pink dupatta softened the overall look, complemented by statement kundan jewellery and nude-toned makeup by Saad Samie.
The wedding festivities will continue with a reception and valima scheduled for January 17 and 18, both set to take place at Jati Umrah.
This is Junaid Safdar’s second marriage. He was previously married to Ayesha Saif Khan in 2021, with multiple events held in London, Lahore, and Islamabad. The couple divorced in 2023, which Safdar announced via Instagram.
