ISLAMABAD โ The Pakistan Army carried out precision airstrikes on military installations in Kabul and Nangarhar on the night of March 16, targeting facilities actively supporting terrorism, Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar confirmed.
According to Tarar, the airstrikes destroyed technical support infrastructure and weapons storage facilities at two locations in Kabul. He noted that the explosions following the attacks indicated large stockpiles of explosives were present.
In Nangarhar, the Pakistan Army targeted four military installations linked to the Taliban. The strikes destroyed logistics hubs, ammunition depots, and technical infrastructure, crippling the operational capabilities of terrorist groups.
The federal minister rejected claims made by Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid that a drug hospital was hit. Tarar described these statements as โridiculousโ and emphasized that the targeted sites were supporting multiple terrorist organizations. He added that such false narratives cannot mislead the Afghan people or the international community.
The operation, named Ghazab Lil Haq, is ongoing. Attaullah Tarar stated that the Pakistan Army will continue these precision operations until all objectives are achieved. He highlighted that the strikes are part of Pakistanโs broader efforts to curb terrorism and prevent cross-border threats from Taliban-controlled areas.
Security sources confirmed the scale of the attacks, noting that footage from Kabul showed massive flames from secondary detonations, further proving the presence of significant weapons stockpiles. Analysts said these operations demonstrate Pakistanโs commitment to regional security and its proactive stance against terrorist networks.
