Met Office Warns of Rising Temperatures as Heat Intensifies Across Pakistan

KARACHI โ€“ The Pakistan Meteorological Department, commonly known as the Met Office, has forecast a sharp rise in temperatures across several parts of the country. The latest update shows that heat levels are increasing, especially in Sindh and Balochistan.

According to the Met Office, some ุงู„ู…ู†ุงุทู‚ in southern Pakistan may see temperatures crossing 40 degrees Celsius. In Balochistan, Sibi is expected to record the highest temperature. The city could reach up to 44ยฐC today. In Sindh, Sukkur may touch 43ยฐC, while Dadu is likely to hit 42ยฐC. Mithi could record 41ยฐC, and Hyderabad may see temperatures around 40ยฐC.

Karachi is expected to remain slightly cooler compared to interior Sindh. The Met Office predicts a maximum temperature of around 35ยฐC in the city today. However, humidity levels may make the weather feel warmer than usual.

In Punjab, temperatures are also rising steadily. Multan and Sargodha may reach 37ยฐC. Dera Ghazi Khan and Lahore are likely to record temperatures of around 36ยฐC. These conditions show a gradual warming trend across the region.

Earlier, the Pakistan Meteorological Department had warned about a shift in weather patterns. This change is expected to bring dry conditions across much of Sindh in the coming days. The Met Office stated that rainfall chances remain low, while heat intensity may continue to increase.

Weather experts say that conditions in Sindh will stay stable but warmer. Karachiโ€™s temperature is expected to rise gradually after April 10. Daytime temperatures could exceed 34ยฐC in the coming days.

The Met Office also warned that the heat may become more intense later this month. There is a growing risk of heatwave conditions by the end of April. Citizens are advised to take precautions and avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight.
