KARACHI โ€“ Met Office Warns Of Extreme Heat As Temperatures Rise Across Pakistan

The Met Office has issued a warning about rising temperatures across most parts of Pakistan. Officials said extremely hot weather is expected during daytime over the next two to three days.

According to the Met Office, heat levels will remain higher than normal in many plains. The increase in temperature is likely to affect daily life in several regions.

In Punjab, southern and central areas may experience temperatures three to five degrees Celsius above normal levels. Authorities have advised people to take precautions during peak daytime hours.

The Met Office also reported that Sindh and Balochistan will face similar weather conditions. Upper districts of Sindh and northeastern as well as southern parts of Balochistan may see temperatures two to four degrees higher than usual.

In Sindh, extreme heat is expected in several districts. The Met Office said Dadu could reach up to 46 degrees Celsius. Nawabshah and Sukkur may record temperatures around 45 degrees Celsius.

In Punjab, major cities are also expected to feel the impact. The Met Office predicted that Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Sargodha, and Lahore could see temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.

Karachi is also experiencing hot and humid conditions. The Met Office said the cityโ€™s temperature may rise to around 37 degrees Celsius today.

Meteorologists have advised citizens to avoid unnecessary outdoor exposure during peak hours. They also recommended staying hydrated and wearing light clothing.

Health experts have warned that prolonged heat exposure can lead to dehydration and heatstroke. Vulnerable groups such as children and elderly people are at higher risk.

The Met Office continues to monitor the situation and may issue further updates if conditions worsen. Authorities are urging the public to follow safety guidelines during this period of intense heat.
