CM Maryam Nawaz Launches Rs700 Million 'e-Learn She Earn' Program in Punjab

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has officially launched the e-Learn She Earn program in a major step toward women’s digital empowerment and economic inclusion. The initiative carries a budget of Rs700 million and aims to equip thousands of women across Punjab with modern digital and freelancing skills.

The e-Learn She Earn program has been introduced to help women earn income from home through online work, freelancing, and digital entrepreneurship. Officials say the project is designed to reduce the digital gap and create more opportunities for women in the growing global online economy.

The initiative is being managed by the Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) in collaboration with the Women Development Department. Under the program, selected candidates will receive free three-month online training in several high-demand digital fields.

The training courses focus on practical skills that can help women start careers immediately after completion. These include digital marketing, e-commerce, graphic design, virtual assistance, and digital customer care services.

Participants will learn how to manage online businesses, work with international clients, create visual content, and provide professional remote support services. Officials believe these skills can help women build stable online careers and financial independence.

To remove financial and technical barriers, the Punjab government is also offering several additional benefits under the e-Learn She Earn program. Selected candidates will receive free laptops, monthly stipends, internet support, and professional certificates after successful completion of the training.

The program is open to women between the ages of 15 and 35 years, although some specialized courses may allow applicants up to 40 years old. Applicants must be permanent residents of Punjab and possess a valid CNIC or B-Form.

Educational requirements may vary depending on the selected course. However, Matric and Intermediate qualifications are generally preferred for most training tracks.

The Punjab government says the initiative is part of a broader effort to increase women’s participation in the digital economy and remote workforce. Officials added that empowering women with online earning opportunities can also support inclusive economic growth in the province.
