Government Employees End Protest After Successful Talks With Federal Minister

Government Employees Protest outside Parliament House has officially ended after successful negotiations between employee representatives and the federal government.

The announcement was made by the All Government Employees Grand Alliance following discussions with Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhary. The alliance decided to call off its sit-in after receiving assurances regarding several key demands.

Tariq Fazal Chaudhary personally visited the protest site and addressed the participants. During his speech, he informed employees that more than 80 percent of their demands had been accepted by the government. His announcement was welcomed by the gathering, with many employees expressing satisfaction over the outcome.

Following the development, the atmosphere at the protest site became celebratory. Demonstrators chanted slogans in support of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the federal government after hearing details of the agreement.

Speaking about the negotiations, the minister said extensive discussions had taken place with the leadership of the All Government Employees Grand Alliance. He described the talks as productive and constructive. According to him, both sides worked together to find practical solutions to employee concerns.

The minister revealed that a high-level committee had been formed on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The committee included Federal Minister Rana Sanaullah and Tariq Fazal Chaudhary. Its purpose was to address the legitimate concerns of public sector workers and ensure a timely resolution of their issues.

The Government Employees Protest had focused on demands related to employee welfare and financial relief. Government representatives assured workers that their concerns were taken seriously despite ongoing economic challenges.

Tariq Fazal Chaudhary stated that the government had provided the maximum possible relief to public servants in the current budget. He added that protecting the rights of government employees remains a key responsibility of the state.

The minister also thanked the leadership and members of the alliance for their cooperation and trust during the negotiation process. He appreciated their decision to end the Government Employees Protest peacefully after reaching an understanding with the government.
