She condemned the brutal violence faced by transgender individuals and criticized the practice of settling murder cases through blood money, calling it deeply unjust. Rai also pointed out the widespread denial of inheritance rights for transgender persons.
Rai praised the Sindh government for introducing an education policy for the transgender community and urged its swift implementation. She emphasized the importance of including the history and identity of transgender individuals in educational curricula to foster respect among the younger generation. However, she expressed disappointment over the non-enforcement of the 0.5% job quota allocated to transgender persons in government positions.
Bindia Rana also spoke out against societal discrimination, emphasizing that the transgender community continues to face harassment in employment, housing, and healthcare. She called on the government to address a broader range of health issues beyond HIV, urging equitable treatment and support.
