The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially inducted four cricketing legends into its Hall of Fame for 2024: Mushtaq Muhammad, Inzamamul Haq, Saeed Anwar, and Misbahul Haq. This prestigious recognition celebrates the extraordinary careers and lasting impact these players have had on Pakistani cricket. Their contributions to the sport have left a permanent mark on the game’s history.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed immense pride in honoring the four players, stating that their accomplishments have inspired generations of cricketers and fans alike. “These players are not just champions but icons who have set unparalleled standards of excellence,” Naqvi remarked. He emphasized that the inductees serve as role models for future cricketers, encouraging them to follow in their footsteps.

Each inductee reflected on their careers with gratitude and pride. Inzamamul Haq, recalling his iconic moments such as the 1992 World Cup and his memorable triple century, stated that being honored in this way was a milestone. Saeed Anwar expressed his humility, mentioning that his 194 runs against India remain one of his career highlights. Misbahul Haq reminisced about leading the team to several historic victories, including the 2009 T20 World Cup win, and the 2014 series triumph over Australia.
Mushtaq Muhammad, who laid the foundation for Pakistan’s cricketing success, shared his joy in being inducted alongside his late brother, Hanif Mohammad, a fellow cricketing legend. This induction adds another chapter to the PCB’s Hall of Fame, which was established in 2021 to honor Pakistan’s finest cricketing figures.
