Pakistan made a remarkable impression at ITB Berlin 2025, the world’s largest travel trade show, with its vibrant participation aimed at promoting the country’s rich cultural heritage, diverse landscapes, and adventure tourism. The event kicked off on Wednesday, where Pakistan’s involvement signaled its strong commitment to positioning itself as a rising destination in global tourism.
The Pakistan Pavilion, covering 100 square meters, was inaugurated by Ambassador Saqlain Syedah in a grand ceremony. Jointly organized by the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC), the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Green Tourism Private Limited (GTPL), and provincial tourism departments, the pavilion highlighted the country’s collaborative efforts to promote its tourism potential. The commercial wing in Frankfurt played a key role in executing the event, facilitating business engagements.

A high-level delegation representing both public and private sectors attended the event, actively engaging with global tourism professionals. The delegation, which included representatives from 13 private companies and two provincial tourism departments—Sindh and Gilgit-Baltistan—presented Pakistan’s rich cultural offerings and stunning landscapes to attract international visitors. Among the notable attendees were Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Minister for Tourism from Sindh, and M. Ghulam Muhammad, Minister for Tourism from Gilgit-Baltistan.
Ambassador Syedah highlighted Pakistan’s beauty and heritage during the inauguration, stating, “Pakistan is a land of unparalleled beauty and centuries-old heritage. Our participation at ITB Berlin reflects our commitment to positioning Pakistan as a top travel destination.” Managing Director PTDC, Aftab ur Rehman Rana, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the strategic importance of the event in enhancing Pakistan’s visibility on the world tourism stage.
Pakistan’s delegation actively participated in B2B meetings, networking events, and presentations, fostering collaborations with international stakeholders. A dedicated session on “Cultural Diplomacy,” scheduled for March 5, will further showcase the country’s tourism potential and cultural significance.
