Similarly, the wholesale rate of fine flour has been lowered by Rs10, bringing it down to Rs78 per kg, while its retail price has been adjusted to Rs82 per kg following a Rs10 reduction.
Additionally, “chakki flour” is now available at a reduced retail price of Rs90 per kg, reflecting a Rs10 cut, and this rate will remain effective until further notice.
Meanwhile, in Punjab, flour and wheat prices have also declined sharply due to the recent arrival of wheat stocks from Sindh. Reports indicate that the price of a 40-kg wheat bag in the Punjab market has dropped by Rs400, falling from Rs2,865 to Rs2,460.
This decrease has directly affected flour prices in the region, with the cost of a 20-kg flour bag being reduced by Rs100, now ranging between Rs1,450 and Rs1,500.
Further price reductions are anticipated as freshly harvested wheat from Punjab is expected to reach markets soon. Current estimates suggest wheat prices in the province’s grain markets will range between Rs2,200 and Rs2,300 per 40 kg.
