Anaya Bangar, a transgender cricketer who transitioned through Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), has come forward with serious accusations against several Indian cricketers. She revealed that some players sent her inappropriate messages and even nude photographs without her consent.
In a recent interview with Indian media, Anaya Bangar spoke candidly about the challenges she faced after coming out as transgender. While she did receive some support, she also encountered disturbing levels of harassment from within the cricketing community. โA few players sent me explicit photos without my permission,โ she stated, highlighting the misconduct she endured.

Anaya, now an advocate for inclusivity in cricket, shared that the abuse wasnโt limited to online platforms. She also experienced offensive remarks and unwanted advances from fellow cricketers. Reflecting on her time playing under her former identity as Aryan, she said she was forced to hide her true self, especially when sharing the field with prominent names like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sarfaraz Khan, and Musheer Khan.
The harassment extended beyond the digital sphere, as Anaya Bangar recalled inappropriate behavior from senior players. โI had to keep my identity hidden because of my fatherโs public image,โ she added, emphasizing the emotional toll it took on her.
Her revelations come shortly after the International Cricket Council (ICC) revised its policy on transgender participation in cricket. The updated regulations, also adopted by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), now restrict transgender women from competing in international and high-level domestic womenโs cricket in Tiers 1 and 2.
