The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast continued hot and dry weather across most parts of the country, with southern plains bracing for particularly intense heat over the next few days.
A continental air mass is dominating much of Pakistan, fueling the current dry spell. While most areas will remain rain-free, isolated rain, wind, and thunderstorm activity may occur in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Temperatures are expected to climb further by Wednesday, especially in Sindh and southern Punjab, where afternoons are likely to be extremely hot. On Monday, Dadu recorded the highest temperature nationwide at a blistering 47°C.
The PMD has advised the public to stay hydrated, avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during peak heat hours, and take precautions against heat-related illnesses, as the current pattern is expected to persist through Thursday.
