A Lahore police team visited Adiala Jail on Tuesday to question Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister Imran Khan regarding the May 9 cases and to administer a polygraph test. However, Khan declined to undergo the test, citing the absence of his legal counsel.
Sources confirmed that the 11-member police team arrived at the prison to include Khan in the ongoing investigation but were unable to proceed after he refused to cooperate without his lawyers present. The move was part of broader inquiries into the events of May 9, which led to widespread unrest.

Jail authorities reportedly attempted to summon Khan for the polygraph test, but he did not appear, reinforcing his position that any interaction with investigators must involve legal representation.
The refusal adds another layer of complexity to the high-profile case, with legal experts suggesting that any future investigation may now need court direction to proceed under these circumstances.
