Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari strongly dismissed India’s accusations against Pakistan regarding the Pahalgam incident, criticizing the claims as baseless and premature, made without thorough investigation or evidence. He condemned India’s use of these allegations to justify unlawful military actions targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure.

Highlighting India’s unilateral suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari warned that weaponizing water resources against Pakistan is unacceptable and poses a serious threat to regional peace and security.

He thanked OIC member states for their efforts in reducing tensions, mediating, and supporting the ceasefire. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to peace, tolerance, and diplomacy, urging the restoration of the Indus Waters Treaty, respect for the ceasefire, and renewed dialogue with India.

Bilawal Bhutto also praised the OIC’s ongoing support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, underlining that a fair and lasting resolution to the Kashmir conflict is essential for stability in South Asia. He called on member states to continue upholding the Kashmiri people’s rights, especially the right to self-determination as endorsed by UN resolutions.

In turn, OIC members commended Pakistan’s transparent update and diplomatic approach to peacefully resolving disputes. They expressed strong solidarity with Pakistan and the Kashmiri population, reaffirming their commitment to resolving outstanding issues in line with UN directives.
