A three-phase skills development camp for national cricketers began in Lahore on Monday, with top players like Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan actively participating in the sessions. The camp is being held at the LCCA Ground under the supervision of coaches from the National Cricket Academy (NCA).
The first phase includes 15 players, focusing on refining fielding, batting techniques, and physical conditioning. Morning sessions kicked off with intense fielding drills, while batting sessions were overseen by batting coach Hanif Malik and other NCA staff. Players also engaged in gym workouts to improve their fitness levels.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the objective of the camp is to prepare players for future domestic and international challenges through structured training. It also aims to enhance the overall skillset of the national talent pool.
Cricketers in this phase include Naseem Shah, Mohammad Haris, Abrar Ahmed, Saim Ayub, Aamir Jamal, Mohammad Nawaz, and others. The second and third phases of the camp will begin on June 23 and June 30, with more players joining in the coming weeks.
