Iran’s armed forces launched another round of missile and drone strikes on Tuesday, targeting what it described as Israeli regime positions in the occupied Palestinian territories. This marks the tenth wave of such attacks since hostilities reignited, intensifying the already volatile conflict between the two regional rivals.
Iranian state media reported that the latest strikes were launched from various points across Iran and set off air raid sirens in multiple locations within Israeli-controlled areas. Although early reports indicated significant damage, Israeli authorities had not issued an official statement at the time of reporting.

For the first time in the current confrontation, Iran reportedly deployed cruise missiles, with one major strike aimed at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, central Israel. Iranian sources claimed the research facility sustained serious damage, signaling a shift in the scale and precision of Iran’s military campaign.
In a televised address, Major General Seyyed Abdolrahim Mousavi stated that the attacks so far were intended as “deterrent warnings” and warned of a “punitive operation” soon to come. The escalation has drawn renewed international attention, especially after Iran clashed diplomatically with the European Union over its nuclear programme.
Responding to EU concerns, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei accused the bloc of hypocrisy, asserting that Iran’s nuclear activities remain peaceful and under strict international monitoring. He reiterated Tehran’s longstanding call for a nuclear-free Middle East—pointedly noting Israel’s undeclared arsenal and refusal to join the NPT.
