After the mayor’s decision on Wednesday, journalists in Karachi would no longer be required to pay parking fees. Murtaza Wahab, the mayor, also extended financial support for the Karachi Press Club (KPC).
Wahab spoke with members of the press club and the KPC’s governing board. Salman Abdullah Murad, the deputy mayor, joined him. The mayor promised improvements, accountability, and justice in operations over the subsequent four years. Wahab declared, “As the son of a journalist, this organization is my home.”

The journalists were grateful for Wahab’s effort to bring them this small measure of comfort. Wahab promised the community of journalists more beneficial developments and relief.
Enhanced Public Transportation
Electric buses on two routes were terminated roughly two months ago because the battery charging infrastructure “started malfunctioning,” according to sources.
At a news conference on Sunday, Sindh Information, Transport, and Mass Transit Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon stated that the new charging infrastructure would enable the operation of 15 electric buses in Karachi once more.
Memon remarked:
As per the instructions of [PPP] chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, the Sindh government is committed to expanding the number of buses in order to enhance urban travel facilities. Under the same initiative, the new buses will be replacing the older ones very soon.
