Pakistani journalist and TV anchor Farah Yousaf has finally addressed the growing rumors about her alleged separation from husband and fellow anchorperson Iqrarul Hassan.
For the past few days, social media platforms have been filled with speculation about the couple’s relationship status. However, this is the first time Farah Yousaf has publicly spoken about the matter.
The discussion began when a follower questioned her about the name change on her social media accounts. The user asked why her profile now displayed “Farah Yousaf” instead of “Farah Iqrar,” sparking curiosity and gossip online.
Responding to the question, Farah Yousaf explained that she has always been proud of using her father’s name. “Many people know me by my father’s name, and I take pride in that. The name ‘Yousaf’ represents my father’s identity, and no relationship is more valuable than that of a father,” she said.
She added that she had considered updating her social media bio to reflect her father’s name instead of her husband’s, emphasizing that it was a personal choice and not related to any relationship issues.
Farah also clarified that technical and verification issues with her older accounts made it difficult to change names across all platforms, which is why both names still appear in different places.
Rejecting all rumors of separation, she stated, “There has been no separation between us. People often create their own stories. Both names—my father’s and my husband’s—are important to me, and I respect them equally.”
The journalist urged her followers not to spread or believe unverified news. She expressed gratitude to her fans for their concern but reminded them to rely only on authentic information.
