The FGEHA has issued a public notice directing residents of Islamabadโs G-13 and G-14 sectors to remove all illegal encroachments from government land within 24 hours. The authority warned that strict action will be taken against those who fail to comply with the directive.
The notice was issued by the Directorate of Enforcement and Vigilance of the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority. It applies to all unauthorized structures built on government land or extending beyond approved property boundaries.
According to the FGEHA, residents must voluntarily remove illegal constructions, sheds, fences, and any other structures that occupy public land without approval. The authority said the measure is intended to protect government property and ensure compliance with approved building regulations.
Officials stated that the deadline for removing the encroachments is 24 hours from the issuance of the notice. Property owners have been urged to act immediately to avoid legal action and demolition of unauthorized structures.
The FGEHA emphasized that the operation is part of its efforts to maintain planned housing schemes and prevent illegal occupation of public land. Authorities said approved building limits must be respected to ensure proper development and management of residential sectors.
The housing authority also warned that enforcement teams will begin demolition operations after the deadline expires. Any illegal structures that remain on government land will be removed in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations.
Officials made it clear that no additional warning or notice will be issued before enforcement begins. Residents have therefore been advised to remove any unauthorized extensions or encroachments without delay.
The authority said the action is aimed at protecting public property and maintaining orderly development in the G-13 and G-14 sectors. It added that cooperation from residents would help avoid unnecessary legal proceedings and property damage.
Illegal encroachments often create challenges for urban planning, infrastructure development, and public access. Authorities regularly conduct enforcement drives to ensure that residential areas remain compliant with approved layouts and construction rules.
Residents who have built structures beyond their approved property limits are encouraged to review their property boundaries and remove any unauthorized additions as soon as possible. This includes temporary sheds, boundary extensions, fences, and other constructions built on government land.
The latest notice follows the housing authorityโs continued efforts to improve management and development within its residential projects. Officials have stressed that protecting public land remains a priority and that enforcement measures will continue wherever violations are identified.
