On Thursday, gold prices in Pakistan reached their highest point in history, following global market trends.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs1,600, reaching a record Rs290,300.

Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs1,372, totaling Rs248,885.
In the international market, gold prices also saw an upward trend, rising by $15 to $2,778 per ounce, with an additional premium of $20.
Similarly, the price of silver in the local market increased by Rs59, reaching Rs3,450 per tola.
