The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has made a significant decision by nominating Shehbaz Sharif as their candidate for the prime ministerial position, as revealed on Tuesday. According to sources, PML-N Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz is set to be the candidate for the Punjab chief minister’s role.
The final announcement of the prime ministerial candidate will be made in conjunction with allied parties. Both names, Shehbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz, received approval from Nawaz Sharif himself.

Expressing gratitude, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif acknowledged the support extended by former president Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari to his party. He conveyed his thanks to them via social media, stating,
“I have thanked them [Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto] on behalf of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif for announcing their support to the PML-N.”
With a sense of collaboration, Shehbaz Sharif expressed hope, saying, “Hopefully, we [PML-N, PPP] will manage to steer the country out of the political and economic crises together.” This alliance suggests a joint effort to address the challenges facing the nation.
