Kim Kardashian has stirred discussion with her unconventional views on homework, saying she does not believe in assigning it to children.
The 44-year-old reality star, who shares four children—North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm—with ex-husband Kanye West, expressed her opinion during streamer Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 3 livestream this week.
“I don’t believe in homework. Kids are in school for eight hours a day. When they come home, they need to do sports, have a life, spend time with their family,” Kardashian said. She added, “I think homework should be left for in school.”
During the livestream, Kardashian appeared alongside her son Saint, taking part in playful pranks and games with Cenat. At one point, she surprised the 23-year-old streamer by smashing a prop table during a prank.
Her comments quickly went viral, drawing mixed reactions. Some parents supported her view that children need downtime after school, while others criticized her stance as “out of touch” with educational priorities.
This is not the first time a Kardashian has sparked debate on education. Earlier this year, Kim’s sister Kourtney Kardashian faced criticism for calling traditional schooling “dated” and questioning whether her children should attend classes.
Kim Kardashian’s remarks also follow months of public scrutiny over her children’s appearances. Fans previously speculated that her eldest daughter, North, had a dermal finger piercing during a family trip to Rome, though the claim was never confirmed.
The Mafiathon 3 livestream marked a 30-day Twitch marathon running until the end of September. Kardashian’s participation highlighted her growing presence on digital platforms while sharing lighthearted family moments with fans.
