Lady Gaga suddenly postponed her Miami concert on Wednesday night, leaving fans disappointed just minutes before showtime.
The Grammy-winning star announced the cancellation through Instagram Stories, explaining that her voice had been under extreme strain during rehearsals and warmups.
“Hi everyone, I am really so so sorry but I need to postpone tonight’s show in Miami,” Lady Gaga wrote. She added that both her doctor and vocal coach strongly advised her not to perform, warning that singing could cause lasting damage to her vocal cords.
The A Star Is Born actress described the decision as “hard and agonizing,” but stressed that she could not risk permanent harm. Lady Gaga also expressed her regret for the last-minute announcement and assured fans that the choice was made to protect her long-term health.
The concert was scheduled at the Kaseya Center. Shortly after her statement, the venue confirmed the news in a social media post. “Unfortunately, tonight’s performance of the Mayhem Ball has been postponed,” the message read.
It continued, “During her warmup tonight, Lady Gaga experienced significant vocal strain and has been advised by her ENT not to perform.” The venue further announced that details on the rescheduled date and refund process will be shared soon.
This is not the first time Lady Gaga has faced health setbacks during a tour. In the past, she has openly discussed the physical and emotional challenges of maintaining a demanding performance schedule.
Fans flooded social media with messages of support, wishing the singer a speedy recovery. Many expressed understanding, emphasizing that her health must come first.
For now, Lady Gaga has not revealed when the Miami concert will be rescheduled, but she promised to return once she fully recovers.
