Cheap Petrol Scheme Offers Rs4,000 Relief for Bikers in Pakistan - Details Here

ISLAMABAD โ€“ The government of Pakistan has expanded its relief efforts under the Petrol Scheme, aiming to reduce fuel costs for daily commuters. The initiative is designed to support low-income groups who rely heavily on fuel for transportation and work.

Under the updated Petrol Scheme, bikers are expected to receive Rs4,000 in financial assistance. This support is intended to ease the burden of rising fuel expenses and provide short-term relief to individuals using motorcycles for daily travel.

Officials confirmed that the federal government will release the 5th and 6th installments of the subsidy program in June 2026. These payments are part of the broader Petrol Scheme, which continues to assist transport operators, motorcycle users, and farmers across the country.

The decision was made during a high-level review meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar. According to an official statement from the Deputy Prime Ministerโ€™s Office, the meeting focused on improving the implementation of the subsidy system.

So far, four installments have already been distributed successfully over the past two months. The program has been running on a weekly basis to ensure consistent support for eligible beneficiaries.

Deputy PM Ishaq Dar expressed satisfaction with the progress of the Petrol Scheme. He directed relevant departments to maintain efficiency and ensure smooth continuation of the program without delays.

During the meeting, participants also discussed key concerns related to transparency and accountability. Authorities were instructed to strengthen monitoring systems so that benefits under the Petrol Scheme reach only deserving individuals.

Coordination with provincial governments was also reviewed to improve delivery mechanisms. Officials emphasized better data sharing and verification processes to avoid misuse of funds.

The meeting was attended by senior officials, including the Secretary Petroleum, Special Assistant Tariq Bajwa, and chief secretaries from all provinces. They collectively agreed on improving oversight to enhance the effectiveness of the Petrol Scheme.
