Two terrorists were killed in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Quetta Road in Dera Ghazi Khan on Friday.
CTD officials reported that the operation was initiated to apprehend terrorists when the suspects opened fire on the law enforcement team. In the subsequent firefight, two terrorists were killed, while two others escaped. Authorities recovered hand grenades, rifles, ammunition, and explosives from the scene.

A search is currently in progress to capture the terrorists who fled. CTD teams have sealed off Quetta Road and nearby highways to prevent any further escape of accomplices.
The identification of the deceased terrorists is underway, and CTD officials are working to gather more intelligence on their activities in the region. A spokesperson mentioned that the terrorists had planned attacks on sensitive installations.
Authorities have emphasized their ongoing commitment to combating terrorist networks in the area to ensure public safety.
