Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan chief Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has accused Pakistan’s leadership of seeking US assistance while neglecting pressing domestic issues like poverty and inequality. Speaking at a public gathering in Lower Dir, he remarked, “Even freedom from prison and power rely on the US,” indirectly targeting PTI’s alleged efforts to involve the US in securing Imran Khan’s release.

Highlighting the struggles of over 100 million Pakistanis living in poverty, Hafiz Naeem criticized the ruling class for its luxurious lifestyle. He called for unity among Pakistanis, emphasizing the need for a system based on the Quran and Hadith to ensure prosperity and justice.

Hafiz Naeem also condemned the US as the “world’s greatest terrorist,” questioning its indifference to Israeli atrocities in Palestine. “Rivers of blood are flowing in Palestine, yet the UN and the US remain silent,” he said, underscoring the plight of Palestinian children.

Reiterating Jamaat-e-Islami’s commitment to an Islamic system, Hafiz Naeem argued that it was the only solution to Pakistan’s economic and social challenges. He also criticized the nation’s elite, saying, “While the people suffer, the ruling class continues its extravagance.”
