PTI plans Major Rally in Lahore

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced a rally in Lahore on September 21, following a high-level party meeting. Party officials have been given tasks to ensure the success of the event, with strong internal support expected.

PTI General Secretary for Lahore, Awais Younis, highlighted the enthusiasm of Lahore’s residents, known for their passionate support for PTI. He expressed confidence that the people of Lahore will once again show loyalty to the party and its leader.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur will lead convoys arriving from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while Punjab’s regional and district presidents will guide participants from their areas. PTI members of the assembly and ticket holders are also expected to attend.

The rally was initially scheduled earlier but was postponed due to the arrest of party leaders. PTI filed a petition with the Lahore High Court, seeking protection against the arrests of its workers ahead of the event.

The petitioners claimed the police were violating their constitutional right to organize the rally. PTI requested the court to stop the arrests and allow the rally to take place peacefully at Minar-e-Pakistan on September 21.
