England Announces 17-Member Squad for Upcoming Test Series in Pakistan

On Tuesday, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced a 17-member squad for their upcoming three-match Test series against Pakistan in October, which is part of the World Test Championship.

Uncapped players Brydon Carse from Durham and Jordan Cox from Essex are included, while spinners Rehan Ahmed and Jack Leach return to the squad.

Eight playersβ€”Rehan Ahmed, Harry Brook, Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Jack Leach, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, and Ben Stokesβ€”are making a return to Pakistan after the 3-0 Test series win in 2022.

Rehan, who debuted in Karachi during the last tour in December 2022, will seek to build on his four Test caps. Leicestershire seamer Josh Hull is set for his first senior tour with England following his Test debut at The Oval.

Kent opener Zak Crawley returns after recovering from a finger injury sustained in July, and Ben Stokes is included as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury that sidelined him during the recent series against Sri Lanka.
