The lower order of Pakistan struggled, with Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi both dismissed by Leach, the latter caught and bowled after a sharp reflex catch. Naseem attempted a final act of defiance by hitting a six before being stumped, sealing England’s decisive victory.
Despite some resistance from Aamer Jamal, who scored a top innings of 55, Pakistan couldn’t surpass England’s substantial lead. England’s bowlers, particularly Leach and Brydon Carse, maintained pressure throughout the innings.
With this win, England takes a 1-0 lead in the series.
