South Africa secured a place in the final of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 by defeating Australia by 8 wickets.
In the match held in Dubai, South Africa successfully chased down the target of 135 runs in 17.2 overs, losing just 2 wickets. Anneke Bosch remained not out with 74 runs, while Laura Wolvaardt added 42 runs.

South Africa won the toss and opted to field first. Australia managed to score 134 runs for 5 wickets in their 20 overs, with Beth Mooney as the top scorer at 44 runs. Ayabonga Khaka took 2 wickets for South Africa.
The second semi-final is set to take place tomorrow between New Zealand and the West Indies.
