On Thursday, Meta Platforms unveiled two new AI-driven features for video editing, suitable for sharing on Instagram or Facebook. The first, Emu Video, generates four-second videos accompanied by a caption, photo, or image prompt and a corresponding description. The second feature, Emu Edit, facilitates easier video alteration or editing with text prompts.
These tools represent an evolution of the Emu parent model, which uses generative AI technology to produce images based on text prompts. Emu also serves as the foundation for various AI image editing tools on Instagram, enabling users to modify the visual style or background of their photos.
