According to a recent rumour spread by a purported “insider” at a Foxconn factory in China, the future Apple iPhone 15 series would have significant advances in battery capacity. These improvements are expected to benefit all four models.
According to the rumour, the iPhone 15 will have a battery capacity of 3,877 mAh, while the iPhone 15 Plus would have a larger 4,912 mAh battery. The iPhone 15 Pro is believed to have a 3,650 mAh battery, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to have a 4,852 mAh battery. All of these represent significant increases in battery capacity.

To provide a point of comparison, the iPhone 14 has a 3,279 mAh battery, and the iPhone 14 Plus has a larger 4,323 mAh battery. The iPhone 14 Pro has a 3,200 mAh battery, whereas the iPhone 14 Pro Max has a 4,323 mAh battery like the Plus variant.
If these rumours are true, it is clear that Apple’s gadgets will do admirably in battery tests. This would be the first time an iPhone has approached the 5,000 mAh mark. Given Apple’s well-known competence in optimising in-house built CPUs, the battery life of all of these devices is likely to be exceptional.
In keeping with a previous rumour, it has been predicted that this year’s iPhones would be slightly thicker than their predecessors. This seems reasonable given that all iPhones are likely to have larger batteries as well.
Another rumour originating from Weibo, China’s version to Twitter, indicates that the iPhone 15 Pro’s base storage choice will be 256 GB, tripling the present 128 GB capacity. This advancement would serve as yet another point of differentiation between the Pro models and the non-Pro variations, the latter of which is expected to retain the 128 GB base storage configuration.
