YouTube is dipping its toes into the world of gaming with the introduction of “Playables,” a suite of mini-games designed for casual entertainment.
This new feature is currently in the experimental phase and is accessible to a limited group of beta testers. If you’re one of the fortunate testers, you’ll find the “Playables” tab on the YouTube homepage, both on the mobile app and the desktop website.
While there isn’t an official list of titles available as of now, early reports suggest that a game called “Stack Bounce” is part of the offering. In this game, players control a ball that navigates through rings with well-timed clicks.

Interestingly, “Stack Bounce” was previously featured on Google’s GameSnacks service, raising questions about the relationship between the two platforms.
While “Playables” may currently feature relatively simple games, Google hints at the potential for more complex gaming experiences in the future. Notably, the system allows users to save game progress, accessible through the “History” tab.
This suggests that YouTube’s gaming endeavors could evolve beyond casual mini-games, but for now, it’s a fun addition for users looking to enjoy some leisurely gaming on the platform.
